Leaving An Impression

Heather, who is great for many reasons, said something to me one day that I just can’t forget and that I often use when telling people how things are going. She said:

“Oh, things are okay, you know, there’s always something building up and another thing breaking down.”

When I first heard her say that I was struck by the fact that it made so much sense. It also occurred to me that it was a simple and beautiful truth.
